Aliou Diack, Eve Bergman

ART FAIR

October 16, 2026 to October 18, 2026

Welterbe Zollverein

Eve Bergman and Aliou Diack are invited to show two big art works in dialog at Contemporary Art Ruhr (C.A.R.) 2026, INNOVATIVE ART FAIR.

From Aliou Diack comes one 7-metre-long work on canvas. Composed of soils, ashes, seeds and plant-based pigments this impressive work talks about the element earth, the forests, meadows and their beings.

In Eve Bergman’s work, ink in the subtlest shades of blue flows across a narrow, 3-metre-long linen cloth. The association with the element of water is obvious. Water flows through every living being and is therefore the greatest unifying force.

Taken together, these two works encompass everything that ultimately constitutes the components of the coal on which the Zollverein World Heritage Site’s colliery is based.
